While continuing with their pioneering trans-continental recording techniques, their first concept album also marks a period of transition in recording technology for Lüt, utilizing 1/4″ tape, mini-disc, DAT, & hard-drive. Love Songs… serves as a catharsis for the trio, something that can be seen and heard in the new forthright compositions. Lars returns fully to the fold & Chas retires from the “college bar scene.” In addition to his usual band chores, Neil, using his brass alto saxophone, blows alongside local trumpet legend, Easy Slipper, on one track.
